Journey To...

This past weekend Damian (my hubby) and I took a little trip out to Los Angeles so that I could register with Central Casting,some other companies and also check out the place that I will be staying. The trip was successful-check out my previous video post for more info on that.

The point to this email is the random but great voicemail I recieved once I landed. I got a call from a guy nmaed Bobby. He does cstung for Dr. G Medical Examiner. If you live in Central Florida then you can find the show on Discovery Health or TLC. Anyways, I've submitted for different castings of theirs through out the years but it has been a while since I've submitted my headshot and resume. I get this message and Bobby is asking if I am available to shoot a bottled water commercial...umm yeah! So I immmediatly called him back and yes I booked a paying commercial that shoots this Wednesday!

Good news, I thought.

Hey everyone,

I've been under the weather this weekend so I'm a little late but I still wanted to give you an update on my "Journey to.." process. Well I have not heard anything back about the Amscott commeercial but it has not shot yet so maybe there is still hope. Last week I recieved a email from my agent to put myslef on tape for a role on a Lifetime show called "Army Wives". I submitted that on Thursday and hopefully I will hear something back from that. Of course I will keep you all posted.

Also I am still looking for a resonaable place to stay in Los Angeles...I will be heding out there in just a few weeks so fingers crossed I find a place. If not I'll be spending a bunch to stay at Oakwood.

Putting it on paper...sort of

So if you have goals the best thing is to put it on paper and then you'll do it. So that is what I am doing.

My love is acting and it has always been. I have dedicated this year to the pursuit of that dream. In the past I have been afraid and just not that confident in myself. I can only say that I am no longer holding on to those fears and I going for it. I am going to do everything within my power to make this dream a reality.

These are my goals for this year:
1. I want to get my SAG card.
2. I want to work on a Feature Film/T.V show at least as a featured character.
3. Book a National Commercial

How will I go about these goals you might ask...

Well I am going to go to Los Angeles from February 15th-March 15th in hopes of working, auditioning, studying, and networking. I know many people go out to "Hollywood" to make it big but if I never try I'll never know.

Hi all,
It's a new year and it's time that I really focus on what is near and dear to me. This year I am putting all of my efforts in to pursuing my acting career.Year after year I dabble here and there with it but I've never completely jumped into. This is my year to go for it.

I'll be using this blog to keep you all updated on all of my endeavors-the ups and the downs, the goods and the bads....stay tuned!
